Krishna was born and raised in Chennai, Southern India. He started learning South Indian percussions from the South India’s First Grammy Award Maestro T.H. Vikku Vinayakram ( Percussionist from Shakti – John Mclaughlin) at the age of 9. He started playing Ghatam ( Indian clay pot) in professional classical concerts at 14, which slowly developed interests in other percussions like kanjeera (Frame Drums) and Morsing (Jaw-Harp). He studied Percussions for 15 years meanwhile completing his Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, India. His avid interest in bringing the Music and Computer together as Creative Sonic Arts led him to receive a Masters of Science in Music Technology from the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology , Indianapolis, USA.

Srikrishnan Sridharan studied for two years at the Purdue school of Engineering and Technology – IUPUI, receiving a Master of Science in Music Technology. Srikrishnan specialized in Creative Sonic Arts, Music Production, Technology and Acoustics in his time at IUPUI. Srikrishnan is also a classically trained South Indian Percussionist and a self taught guitarist with an avid interest in World Percussions.
