Shambhavi J.

I am Shambhavi Jagadish, a Bharatanatyam artist, student of Smt. Shobana Bhalchandra and trained under the Dhananjayans at Bharatakalanjali as well.

I run a chennai based bharatanatyam dance institution called Antarangaa, which aims at mentoring serious dancers seeking it out as a profession as well as passionate dancers who would like to pursue as a hobby. I conduct in person and online classes in various time zones.

I have has over 10 years of experience in teaching and choreographing for various events. I am a Doordarshan B grade artist, with a Masters in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University where I trained under Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam.

I have played key roles in productions of my gurus both on stage and off stage working on choreography, training professional groups, marketing, ideating and executing on the whole.

I aim to create a safe and open space of young dancers to explore and develop their own dancing personality.
