I teach Korean language and Spoken English, and have been doing so for over 10 years. My journey as a language instructor has been shaped by both formal learning and real-world experiences. English is my native language, and I have used it extensively in academic and professional settings. My journey with Korean began out of personal interest, and over time, I transitioned from self-learning to becoming a guide and translator for many community members.

Throughout the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to work with learners from various age groups and backgrounds. My teaching journey began informally—helping people in my local community understand and translate Korean. Over time, I began conducting personalized sessions, and more recently, I received a formal certification in Korean, which has helped me refine and structure my teaching approach more effectively.

One of my proudest achievements is earning an Excellence Certificate during my Korean language course, which recognized my commitment and top-tier performance in mastering the language. This milestone not only validated my self-taught efforts but also empowered me to expand my reach as a teacher. I now provide structured, curriculum-based training while still incorporating the practical, conversational methods that made my earlier sessions so effective.

My classes are available in both online and offline formats, depending on student convenience. Whether it's preparing for an exam, brushing up on daily conversational skills, or learning a new language for career or travel, I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs. I also specialize in bridging the gap between institutional learning and real-world application, helping students reinforce what they’ve already learned elsewhere while expanding their practical usage.

My teaching style is interactive and practical-based. I don’t believe in rote memorization or rigid textbook-only learning. Instead, I focus on real-life conversations, cultural insights, and custom lesson plans that match the learner’s pace and interest. Whether you’re watching K-dramas or preparing for TOPIK exams, I’ll help you relate language learning to your goals.

I make use of PowerPoint presentations and videos in my sessions to ensure the lessons are engaging and easy to absorb. I also provide notes and assignments to help with regular practice and revision. My aim is to make language learning enjoyable, accessible, and confidence-building—so each student feels truly connected to what they’re learning.
