IdentityMy journey with mathematics started from fear. While fear is always seen as a negative that needs to be discarded, I was successful in embracing it and using it to my advantage, to an extent where I secured a spot in the prestigious IIT Gandhinagar, holding an All-India Rank of 192 in JAM 2019. During the 3 years of my voluntary tutoring, it was this fear that helped me get into the mindset of a student and tailor the existing CBSE syllabus to suit their abilities. As a mark of success, a student reached out to me a year later saying she ended up picking mathematics in high school because of the passion and interest I instilled in her.
Being a tutor has also helped me empathise with the teachers and understand better the struggles faced in developing intuition and critical thinking in students. This is why I strongly believe in teaching using stories and games. I also believe that conceptual clarity is the most important aspect of learning. While problem solving is equally important in mathematics, it shouldn't be given all the attention. With me, you can look forward to master concepts and pick up the art of problem solving.
