IdentityI am a teacher/ singer with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Madras and a Master's degree in Maritime Archaeology from Flinders University, South Australia. My main profession is as a SCUBA diving instructor and archaeologist. Additionally, I also teach school subjects, mainly English & Social Science, and tutor in Carnatic music.
CARNATIC MUSIC TEACHER:- I have over 15 years of experience in Carnatic music and have given both solo and group concerts. Carnatic music is rich in tradition and culture and I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with people. I begin with basics, i.e., Alankaram and end with Varnams. I also teach the theoretical aspects of Carnatic music for better and overall understanding of this art form.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER:- Having a Bachelor's degree in English Literature has advanced my English language skills, be it writing, reading, listening or speaking. For my Master's degree in Australia, I wrote IELTS and got a band of 8. I have been tutoring people in English for over 5 years now as part-time.
