It is not void main(), but it is int main(). In Turbo C++ we write void main but if you use UNIX or other areas like Dev C++ you will find it is int main(). C/C++ compiler find it is the starting function of an application. Int returns two values 0 or 1. 1 means successfully execution of the application, 0 means not a success. It has two parameters argument count, which is int,2nd one is the argument vector which is char *. Normally any C application executes as a .exe file. eg c:\> MyDemo. Suppose the application requires any argument in command prompt, e.g. c:\> MyDemo John. In that case, the argument vector and argument count will take care of it like checking the correct number of arguments etc.
