Karthik S

I am Karthik S, a Mathematics tutor with around 9 years of teaching experience. I teach Mathematics to Class 10 students and focus on helping them develop a clear understanding of concepts, improve their problem-solving abilities, and approach their examinations with confidence. Over the years, I have worked with students with different learning needs and have enjoyed helping them become more comfortable and confident with Mathematics.

I have completed my Master of Engineering / Master of Technology (M.E./M.Tech.), which has given me a strong analytical and technical foundation. I bring this structured approach into my teaching and encourage students to understand the logic behind mathematical concepts instead of simply memorising formulas or procedures.

My teaching experience has been very rewarding, particularly because I have been able to see students gradually improve their understanding and academic performance. I believe that Mathematics becomes much easier when students are given the right explanation and sufficient opportunities to practise. I therefore focus on identifying areas where a student may be struggling and work patiently towards strengthening those areas.

I follow a well-structured lesson plan for every class. I generally begin by explaining the concept clearly, followed by relevant examples and problem-solving practice. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively during the session rather than simply listening to the explanation. This helps me understand whether the student has genuinely understood the topic.

I also regularly assess my students' understanding and use their progress to adjust my teaching approach. If a student needs additional explanation or practice, I spend more time on the topic and introduce it in a simpler way. My objective is to ensure that students gradually become capable of approaching mathematical problems independently.

I conduct both online and offline classes and use digital teaching tools such as PPTs and a whiteboard where appropriate. These tools help me explain concepts visually and make problem-solving sessions more organised and interactive.

My overall goal is to make Mathematics clear, approachable, and manageable for Class 10 students. With my experience, structured teaching approach, and focus on individual learning needs, I aim to help students strengthen their fundamentals, practise effectively, improve their problem-solving skills, and build the confidence required to perform well in their examinations.
