I volunteered for over three months with Teach For India in under-resourced schools, where I directly engaged with students from low-income communities. This experience was incredibly fulfilling as I had the opportunity to create a meaningful impact in the lives of these children, both academically and personally. I taught core subjects, particularly focusing on English, Mathematics, Economics to students. My approach emphasized interactive learning, making lessons engaging and accessible to every student regardless of their learning pace. I developed creative lesson plans and used activity-based methods, which helped foster a deeper understanding of the subjects. Beyond academics, I worked to instill values like leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence in my students. I organized after-school workshops to promote holistic development, helping students improve their communication skills and express themselves effectively. This experience not only enhanced my ability to manage classrooms and curriculum, but also allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability in diverse learning environments. Additionally, I collaborated with fellow volunteers and teachers to design educational initiatives, track student progress, and identify areas for improvement. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities in education, inspiring me to contribute to meaningful, sustainable change.
