However there are many questioning words in English which are used to frame questions. Some of them are when, what, how, where, which, who.

These are two different sentences. When we combine them using a conjunction it becomes a compound sentence.
Compound sentence: She was ill so she was absent.
A compound sentence contains two independent clauses combined by a conjunction. (Clauses are sentences or part of sentences which contains a subject or verb or both subject and a verb)

Suffix is a base form with some letters. Suffixes are added at the end of the word. They change the function of the word.
Examples: -ly, -tion, -ness, -er
For instances
Teach is a verb, when you add the suffix '-er' to the word teach it becomes a noun 'Teacher'
Happy is a verb and adding the suffix '-ly' makes it 'Happily' which is an adverb.
