Basant Sharma

I completed my undergraduation from BITS,Pilani and my masters from IIT,Madras .I am passionate about mathematics and would love to help students to learn this beautiful subject in interesting ways. My teaching methodology is based on the fact that a student can read a book as well as I can so there is no point in just making a student follow a book word by word. What is important is that the student must understand the deeper meaning of the subject and its contents. I like to take a holistic approach to mathematics and for me teaching is not just a job but my passion as well. I believe that with my teaching style I would be able to encourage students to pursue this beautiful subject in greater detail and hopefully they would continue to encourage others as well.

Mathematics has a long and enriching history and it would be my constant endeavour to make students understand the historical aspects of the subject as well so that they have a firm grasp of the underpinnings of the subject.

My all India rank in JAM 2015 was 151 and my IIT-JEE rank in 2009 was 7191.
