IdentityDuring my time at VIT Chennai, I was an active member—and later the General Secretary—of VITeach, a student-run educational outreach club focused on teaching and mentoring underprivileged school students. As a core member of the school team, I helped design engaging curricula and develop subject-specific teaching materials aligned with the students’ academic requirements.
We conducted regular classroom sessions, often customizing our approach based on student needs, ensuring that our teaching not only supplemented their school education but also helped improve their foundational understanding and confidence.
Over time, I took on a leadership role as the General Secretary of the club, overseeing all teaching initiatives, training new volunteers, and enhancing the overall impact of our outreach. This 2.5-year experience deepened my skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement—qualities that I believe are essential for any effective educator.
