Hello Bharati,
I am currently in the Data Science domain. One of the primary things I would suggest is getting geared up in python using data frames, arrays and tensors. A strong foundation in python programming is needed as 70-80% of the time goes into data engineering, whereas only 20% goes into actual ML algorithms and Model building.
