Debanjan Kundu

I completed my Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in Biotechnology at Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Noida, in 2017. I qualified for the GATE exam twice in 2018 and 2019 in Biotechnology. I alsoqualified for the Department of Biotechnology (DBT)-BET for Junior Research Fellowship, Government of India, in 2018. Subsequently, I completed my PhD from the School of Biochemical Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, in 2022. I then started my postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA (Jan 2023-July 2025). I have currently relocated to Chennai, joining the Department of Biotechnology, School of Bioengineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, KTR, Chennai as an Assistant Professor. I love teaching and research in Biochemistry and am passionate about mentoring students in the field of Biology from an early age.
Other than academics, I am also an avid student and practitioner of Astrology, a Chess enthusiast, a free lance writer, love cooking, watching and playing cricket.
