Simply Served Personal Chef was born from my life-long passion for the culinary arts. Iâ??ve been entering food competitions (and winning) since the time I was 13 years old. Itâ??s the way I most often display creativity. If Iâ??m having a great day â?? I head into the kitchen and cook. If Iâ??m having a bad day â?? I head into the kitchen and cook! Born in Lucknow, it was somewhat inevitable that I would be fascinated with the city's street kebab vendors. When I was 14 years of age, one such kebab ustad, Salim Qureshi, tutored me on the finer points of kebab making. That was the epiphanic moment that made me choose cooking as his calling. It took a good deal of convincing my parents and finally I was able to enroll myself at the catering management college in Lucknow.
Since then, my life has taken on an enviable trajectory: I have been in the fortunate position of having been in the opening team of one restaurant after another. Starting in hotels with Vivanta by Taj, Lucknow.
