The CAT Exam Syllabus includes three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. Quantitative Ability.

There are two things over here - You are eligible to write the exam as it is the Common Aptitude Test, not just for IIMs. Nobody can stop you from giving the exam. You will not get a call from any IIMs...

For quantitative aptitude ensure that you get a strong hold on number theory basics. Do solve as many logic puzzles in spare time, as possible. This definitely improves marks in quants section.
