Sri purandara dasu garu is known as Carnatic sangeetam pithamaha ,he had won the title as father of Carnatic music ,he composed saraliswarams,jantaswaras pillalu geetams ,devaranamas easy for all beginners.good question all d best.??

You should learn classical music because classical music is base; if you learn classically, you also easily sing western or Bollywood or any genre songs.

I think people who have the knowledge of playing keyboard will be accustomed to western music notations etc. So I guess you need to approach a music school/institution/individual who teaches keyboard with Indian notation
