If one leaves a lot of space in a C language code, will it require more space in a hard disk and RAM?

Yes, Whatever character you use while writing the code it requires space(hard - disc ) , except comments each character is get allocated in RAM. RAM has a different sections so in which section your space will get allow to sit is different concept.
