I think pointer is the most crucial concept and most people find it difficult initially. But trust me this is a very interesting topic and easy also once u understand it. You can learn it from Book by Dennis Ritchie. It is the best book to learn any C concept. To be able to appreciate the concept of pointer one should learn by practice otherwise u will feel like why do i use this when i can survive without it. U can start by understanding swap program with pointer. Try to think why u need pointer or reference here. If u can appreciate it, u r half done. read less

Read any c++ book and just remember pointer is used to access the location of a variable. int *ptr,n=6; If you write ptr=&n; then you can access the location of the value 6 which is defined as n.
