In terms of knowledge there wont be much to choose between an average B Tech Computer Science guy and an average B Sc IT guyHowever in terms of future opportunities in life there's a big difference between the two :1. Are you planning to go abroad for higher studies ? B Sc IT will be a major handicap then as a lot of courses are open only to applicants with at least 16 years of formal education2. In the Job market, B. Tech/BE is preferred over B. Sc ( I am not say thing that B. Tech/BE guys necessarily have better subject knowledge but there is definitely a strong perception that B Tech guys are better - partly because most of the decision makers are BE/B Tech themselves and partly because most of the hallowed professional colleges offer BE/B Tech and not B. Sc)3. If you plan to do MBA later from a tier 1 institute, BE/B. Tech will be more handy over B. Sc ( again because of a strong perception ) read less
