You can opt for PSUs through gate. Various goverment jobs required engineers for which the paper is organized. After degree you can also go for higher studies and opt for goverment colleges and later apply for permanent post of Assistant professor in govement colleges.

After b.tech there are many government jobs and most prestigious job is ESE examination conduct by UPSC. Other options are..SSC JE ,DRDO, BARC HAL etc. PSUs can be joined after qualifying gate with good rank to get handsome salary and govt job like facilities.

its not neccessary that govt jobs are open only for B.tECH GRADUATE any graduates can apply for govt jobs after their graduations,most popular govt jobs in India are SBI-PO,UPSE,IES,PSUs,SSC-CGL etc

There are many like BSNL,AAI,BHEL,NTPC,ONGC,BEL,MECON.....and other more than 28 PSU that you can enter through you decent GATE SCORE. However if you don't have good score than you can also directly give entrance written exams of other PSU'S also.
