If your focus is on Big Data, it would be fine if you learn Java on an abstract level which is essential for Big Data

Python is not mandatory for learning spark. But if you have some core Java skills, that will be the add on to learn spark.

You should focus on the analytics part of Data Science, and not on big data. Analytics require knowledge of business along with Data Science skills.
