They both are good, Java is getting older but new versions are still being developed, and Python is becoming very popular and is widely used in Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence programming but it's not limited to just ML and AI. I suggest if you have to choose between Java and Python, then Python will be the best choice because of its hugely increasing popularity among developers. You can do all sorts of programming with Python.

m1 and m2, both require strong fundamentals in Calculus, so I suggest you brush up your calculus of 12th CBSE, before or while covering the syllabus of m1 and m2, also it depends on how strong your basic fundamentals are, its better to give a good amount of time as m1 and m2 both subjects require complete understanding. Practice as many problems as you can. Happy learning.
