In Mathematics, I focus on key Class 8 topics such as Rational Numbers, Linear Equations, Algebraic Expressions, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Handling, and Introduction to Graphs. I ensure students don’t just memorize formulas but understand the logic behind them. I use step-by-step problem solving, daily practice worksheets, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable. In Science, I cover Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as per NCERT guidelines. Topics like Force and Pressure, Friction, Sound, Chemical Effects of Electric Current, Metals and Non-Metals, and Cell Structure are taught with diagrams, experiments, and activity-based learning. I encourage questioning and curiosity so students develop scientific temperament rather than rote learning. My teaching approach is student-centered. I start by assessing each student’s current level and learning style. Then I create a structured plan with concept explanation, solved examples, practice questions, and weekly revision tests. Regular doubt-clearing sessions and parent feedback meetings help track progress. I also prepare students for school exams as well as foundation-level Olympiads by introducing higher-order thinking questions. One of the biggest challenges in Class 8 is the sudden increase in syllabus difficulty. Many students feel overwhelmed. I address this by breaking complex topics into smaller parts, using visual aids, and linking lessons to everyday life.
