Md Shadab Alam

Mr. MD SHADAB ALAM is a fisheries researcher and academician specialized in aquaculture. He earned his M.F.Sc. in Aquaculture from Kamdhenu University, securing the prestigious ICAR-National-Talent Scholarship (PG) for his academic excellence. His research on fermented Lemna minor feed for GIFT tilapia fry reflects his dedication to sustainable aquaculture practices. An award-winning innovator, Mr. Alam co-developed a patented Agricultural Pollination Drone and a Handheld NPK Analyser, achieving the Smart Device Innovation Award (2025) for Agricultural Pollination Drone design. His excellence in teaching has also been recognized with the Young Teaching Faculty Award (2025). Mr. Alam has authored several review papers in NAAS-rated journals, contributed book chapters, and presented widely at national conferences. He has served as Guest Faculty at the College of Fisheries, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), and Late Shri Punaram Nishad College of Fisheries Science, Chhattisgarh. He also contributes to scientific publishing as a reviewer for Elsevier journals and for the Uttar Pradesh Journal of Zoology, in addition to holding a reviewer position on the editorial board of Innovative Agriculture e-Magazine. In 2025, he was selected as a Youth Representative for the World Food Forum under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. A passionate science communicator, he has written numerous popular science articles bridging advanced research with practical applications in fisheries, aquaculture, and food security.
