I teach English to students from Class 1 to Class 5 on UrbanPro and have been actively involved in teaching for the past 5–6 years. While teaching may not have been my original profession, education has always been a strong passion for me, and over the years I have built solid hands-on experience working with learners at different levels.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science (B.A./B.Sc. – Home Science) and have further strengthened my academic background with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, along with Post Graduate Diplomas in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. These qualifications have helped me develop strong communication, organization, and people-management skills, which reflect positively in my teaching approach.

Along with teaching young school students, I have also taught Spoken English to adults who wanted to improve their communication skills for social interaction and career growth. This experience has helped me understand how learning needs vary across age groups and has made me more adaptable and flexible as an educator.

I have experience teaching in online formats and working with students from diverse backgrounds. I also hold experience certificates for my teaching roles, which represent my consistent involvement, practical exposure, and commitment to the field of education.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching journey has been witnessing my students’ growth. I once taught a Class 1 student who had very limited exposure to English, and whose parents were also unfamiliar with the language. Today, she is in Class 5, performs well academically, and is often selected by her school to read English aloud in class. Such progress and confidence in my students motivate me deeply.

I follow a structured and age-appropriate lesson plan for every class, keeping learning objectives clear and achievable. My teaching focuses on a practical approach, where students learn English through reading, speaking, writing, and real-life examples rather than rote memorization. I adapt my methods according to each student’s pace and ensure regular practice and revision for long-term confidence.

To make learning engaging and effective, I use videos and visual content from reliable online platforms, along with interactive discussions and practical examples. I also provide supporting materials such as homework, tests, quizzes, and storytelling-based exercises to strengthen vocabulary, reading, and speaking skills. My goal is to make English learning enjoyable, consistent, and meaningful for every student.
