"I’ve studied under Uma ma’am for the last two years and I’d never studied Economics before, but she’s managed to develop an interest in me for the subject with her teaching. Being well versed in the portions for different syllabi, she cites examples from all around the world to increase concept clarity. She is an extremely patient teacher and makes sure that you’ve understood the concept before she proceeds. I’ve seen her work with students of different calibre and produce good results. She helped me improve my grade from a C to an A in 11th grade and I am grateful that she was able to do that. Not only does she explain concepts to you, she also tries to ensure that you go about answering the question paper in the correct manner so that you are able to transfer what you’ve understood into a coherent answer that is well phrased and follows a logical sequence which makes it easy for the examiners to understand and grade. "

"I have had the privilege of being taught by Mrs Umadevi for five years, starting from 8th grade. She has a multi-faceted teaching career- she had so far taken ICT, Economics and Business in Cambridge for IGCSE and A level for me (apart from which, she is experienced in tutoring Accounts). As a student who specialises in Business and Economics, I could vouch that her teaching practices, despite the slow progression, thoroughly integrate textbook knowledge with the current affairs. Personally, I've seen a growth of as far as two grades while being tutored by her, including an A*. Beyond this, she's a teacher who often stresses the importance of structure and development in answering, and has a reputation of building few of the most thriving enterprises within school with her students. Overall, she's one of the most versatile and knowledgeable teachers I've known. "

"Uma ma'am, has been one of the best teachers I have had. Her knowledge about the subjects she teaches and the clarity in her concepts is evident in her teaching. She aims to help students understand the concept in-depth rather than just know the concept as given in the text books. She goes out of her way to ensure the understanding of her students. She has always emphasised that it is important to be able to apply what one has learnt, and hence a lot of discussion of the application of concepts in current affairs also happen.
