"Sumithra Madam is a highly dedicated teacher who makes it simple for the students to learn and practice. She sings with open throat which will help students understand and learn the swaras (notes) very clearly. She is quite creative and tries to improvise. She encourages her students to become more creative and explore new possibilities of ragaas. Madam's command over ragaa's chalan helps her create very unique aalaps which is her strength. "
