Sukhmani

Sukhmani is currently pursuing Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Economics & English from Mount Carmel College. She is an incoming graduate of MA Clinical Psychology at Amity University. She headed the Editorial & Design team of Psych-Ed, the annual psychology newsletter by the Department of Psychology of Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru.

She possesses immense passion and interest for psychology as a subject as it is concerned with widespread branches and sub-fields that gives it an inter-disciplinary approach. She, therefore, would like to venture into multiple fields of the subject.

Her career aspiration is to become a psychology entrepreneur who not functions in a clinical setup but also provides counselling to employees in an organisation with multiple professionals working along with her as a team. She would also like to offer internship opportunities and coaching to psychology enthusiasts and develop a huge network and community professionally and provide the population emotional and mental support.

She is an advocate of mental health and aims to reduce the stigma attached to psychology. She is a young, motivated and enthusiastic learner who strives to attain perfection in the tasks she takes up and wishes to become a psychologist in the near future to help alleviate distress in society.

Her hobbies include reading self-development books, writing poems and articles, travelling and engaging in volunteering activities. She is a strong believer in skill-building and therefore has taken several courses and internships during her spare time to gain knowledge about this ever-growing field and has multiple certifications to add to her credentials.
