Tutor's home I have been learning veena online from Sujatha mami for more than 6 months and it has been a wonderful learning experience. She is a very patient teacher and encourages you to develop your own style of playing by demonstrating multiple ways of playing Veena to achieve the same sound effect. I would definitely recommend online lessons from mami for anyone who has a basic knowledge of how to play a Veena and in person classes for absolute beginners.

I have been teaching for the past 25 years ..Have been teaching all age groups of students from 7 to 65 years . Can teach basics and advanced level . Teach in the Thanjavur Style which is more akin to vocal music ..focussing on the gamakas and sahitya bhava . Have had tutelage under Smt kalpakam Swaminathanfrom the Deekshatar lineage and under Smt Jayanthi Kumaresh from the Lalgusi lineage ...both being Thanjavur bhani . Can check out my u tube postings posted in the name K Thiagarajan . Have passed higher grade exam in Veena conducted by the Tamil Nadu Govt . Fee taken Rs 1500/- ( per hour)for local students from India and 35 US$ ( per hour) for students outside of India

"My husband and I study with Ma'am. And wish our kids in the future study under her. She is so amazing I wish she lives 120 years. We rarely find such prideless teachers. She is so attentive and so expert in Karnatic vocals that will notice a slight mistake and won't allow to skip it not correcting it. Not only that, she is very friendly and doesn't laugh at a student if student does silly mistakes on the contrary inspires me saying that song is actually difficult that many people do mistake here.
