IdentityI started teaching during my post graduation, it had started with a 6th grader girl. She was average in studies, frankly speaking I felt extremely annoyed when I found out that she did not even know the basic concepts. Many times I felt like leaving this job, but one day I suddenly had a change of mind. I made up my mind to pull her up and make her score good marks. Both of us worked day and night to achieve our goal. Eventually our hard work borne fruit. She scored 88% in her exams!
It had started since then and I have been teaching for more than two years now. I feel teaching is a job full of dedication, patience and understanding. A teacher interacts with different students. He/She needs to understand the mindset of various students, work out ways in which the knowledge can be transferred to the young budding minds.
My teaching style has always been interactive right from the beginning. I believe teaching is not an one way process. I like to make my students understand and love what is being taught. They should enjoy and learn rather than wait for the session to get over. I normally use powerpoint presentations and other practical tools for teaching. I make my students do some activities that help them to have a clear picture.
My students love me as a teacher, they feel free to discuss their doubts and limitations. On my part, I have always been supportive and inspiring. To wind it up, I would say don't judge a student, come down to his/her perception level and impart the
