I have taught Classes 6 to 10 for several years following the curriculum of the ICSE (CISCE) system, and I focus specifically on Java programming, basic Python, HTML, MS-Excel, algorithms, flowcharts, and basic computer concepts. I possess considerable experience guiding Class 10 Computer Applications (ICSE/CISCE) with an emphasis on thorough preparation for the board exams. I cover the complete syllabus from Java programming (BlueJ) through library classes, wrapper classes, 1D & 2D arrays, user-defined methods, constructors, string handling, and all theory aspects. I assess the students and help them feel that Computer Applications is easy and not difficult. I achieve this by simplifying the concepts with real-life examples, reviewing the concepts step-by-step and also by coding (live coding) together. This enables the students to slowly build up their confidence and learn Java in a comfortable environment, I find. I prepare board-patterned worksheets, revision sheets, output-based questions, error-correction exercises, and the complete Section A & B practice papers. I also regularly clarify their doubts, and support their live coding practice which helps the students improve their logic and accuracy. All of my students have consistently achieved excellent results, many earning perfect scores every year in Class 10 board exams. This is not only supported by theory, it was clear to see the improvement they made in programming due to the ongoing practice they had with myself and personalized support.
