Below are few things that I followed while teaching my kid
Turn everyday moments into language games. When you're cooking together, narrate it: "I am chopping the onions. Can you tell me what color they are?" This gets them using "I," "you," and present tense naturally.
Try role-play. Hand them a toy phone and say, "You call me and ask what we're having for dinner." It builds confidence because they're not just memorizing, they're communicating.
Storytelling with a twist works wonders too. Start a sentence and let them finish it: "I went to the market and I bought..." They'll giggle, guess, and learn sentence structure without realizing it.
Use songs and rhymes; if you sing "I have two hands, you have two hands," they pick up rhythm and pronouns together.
Finally, celebrate mistakes. When you say, "I love how you tried that new word!" they feel safe to keep speaking :)
