Sigma Tutorials

I am Sheshadri Iyengar, the founder of Sigma Tutorials, where I teach Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to students from Classes 10, 11, and 12. I have been involved in teaching and training students for many years, and our institute has been successfully running for the past 15 years. My focus is on providing quality education that helps students understand their subjects clearly, strengthen their fundamentals, and develop the confidence required to perform well academically.

My teaching approach is centred around conceptual understanding rather than simply memorising formulas or methods. I believe that students learn better when they understand the logic and application behind a concept. While teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, I focus on explaining topics systematically and connecting theoretical concepts with practical applications wherever relevant. This helps students develop a stronger foundation and approach academic problems with greater clarity.

I personally handle the online sessions, while we also have a team of experienced tutors who manage our offline classes. Through my online teaching, I work closely with students to understand their individual learning requirements and areas where they need additional support. I use structured lesson plans and interactive sessions to make classes engaging and ensure that students get sufficient opportunities to ask questions, clarify doubts, and participate actively in the learning process.

I am a Chemical Engineer by qualification and hold a Master’s degree in M.Tech. In addition to my academic background, I have around 20 years of professional experience in the industrial field. My industry exposure has given me a strong technical perspective, which I incorporate into the way I teach and guide students. I believe this combination of academic knowledge and professional experience allows me to explain scientific and mathematical concepts from both theoretical and practical perspectives.

At Sigma Tutorials, our primary aim is to provide students with a strong educational foundation while helping them improve their problem-solving abilities. I understand that every student has a different pace of learning, and therefore I try to make my explanations clear, structured, and accessible. I encourage students to focus on understanding the reasoning behind a solution so that they can apply the same concepts confidently to different types of questions.

My sessions are supported by interactive teaching methods and the use of a digital whiteboard, particularly for online classes. I use the whiteboard to explain equations, numerical problems, diagrams, step-by-step solutions, and important concepts in a clear and organised manner. I also encourage students to actively participate during sessions rather than being passive listeners, as regular interaction helps identify gaps in understanding and makes the learning process more effective.

With 15 years of experience through our institute and my own extensive professional and teaching experience, I aim to provide students with consistent guidance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. My goal is not only to help students improve their academic performance but also to develop their confidence, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I strive to create a structured and supportive learning environment where students can build strong fundamentals and prepare themselves effectively for their academic goals.
