Shreevathsa Srinivasan Chilkunda

I am a former Life Science Researcher broadly trained in Molecular Biology. I investigated post-transcriptional gene regulation (micro RNA mediated translational repression or control) during my Master's thesis at the University of Leicester's MRC toxicology unit in England, UK followed by research on Functional Oncogenomics at MDC in Berlin, Germany and on DNA repair systems at BRC in Szeged, Hungary. Before all the above, I initially trained at the NCBS TIFR in Bangalore. I also wrote a Science Teachers' Training manual for government school science teachers in Hyderabad along with conducting training workshops for them. Due to personal (health) issues, I cannot be pursuing wet-lab research anymore therefore I have decided to teach what I have learnt emperically (the hard way) of sciences, of its methods and practices. Apart from that, I would like the reader to note that, in fact, I initially learnt Science the practical way as well! I had a small science lab at home where I spent making motors, transformers and microscopes and observing the "world we do not see" generally.
