There’s something seriously broken in the way reviews are handled here. Right now, anyone with just a verified phone number can post a review on a tutor’s profile. No check on whether they actually learned through the platform. No validation of the context. No effort to understand what really happened. What this really means is simple. A tutor’s credibility can be damaged overnight by someone who was never even a genuine student on the platform. That’s not just unfair. It’s a structural flaw. A negative review isn’t just a comment. It directly impacts trust, conversions, and income. And yet, there is no mechanism to verify the source or even consider the tutor’s side before publishing it. The review policy needs to change. It should protect the interests of tutors as much as it enables student feedback. Without that balance, the system can be easily misused. This is the reason I am posting this on Rakesh’s page. This is not just about one incident, it’s about fixing a gap that can affect every genuine tutor on this platform. Here’s the thing. Tutors are not just users. They are the ones generating value and revenue for the platform. There has to be a basic level of protection, verification, and accountability. If this continues, good tutors will start walking away. Not because they fear feedback, but because the system itself isn’t fair.
