Pooja K.

Dr. Pooja is a researcher and educator whose career is defined by academic merit. She earned her B.E. as an Academic Topper from Coorg Institute of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering and her M.Tech as a University Rank Holder from NMAMIT in Digital Electronics and Communication, Nitte. Her dedication led her to Japan, where she secured the prestigious Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship—a fully-funded fellowship—to complete her Ph.D. in Nano Bioelectronics at Ritsumeikan University. Her doctoral research on biosensors has been published in top international peer-reviewed journals.

For over three years, Dr. Pooja served as an Assistant Professor at Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru. As the architect of the ARISE Program, she designed and managed international student exchanges between India and Japan for two consecutive years. Her work in cross-border education earned her global recognition at the World Youth Meeting in Japan in 2024 and 2025 where she enabled 20+ students to get global exposure and win Gold and Platinum Awards. To date, she has mentored over 15 student projects and co-authored 10+ international publications.

In 2025, Dr. Pooja founded Beyond Borders Scholar Lab to bridge the gap between India’s talented students and global opportunities. Having navigated the rigorous academic standards of Japan herself, she now provides students with a strategic roadmap to build research portfolios and win international scholarships. By teaching the collaborative mindset, she empowers to transform their academic potential into a career without borders.
