"OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING WITH PYTHON" is a course tailored for the intermediate in software programming. On completing the course the students will acquire the skill equivalent to a Python programmer of about 2 years experience.

This course is provided to a student individually. The student is required to be competent in 'data structures and control flow'.

The course covers all the basics of Object Oriented Programming and then take the students through an intermediate level of programming and finally introduces them to advanced concepts with the help of lectures, exercises, assignments, assessments and projects.

Python is an easy language to learn so the learning curve will be quite easy. There requires to be a lot of practical work to be implemented, so this course will involve the student with a lots of hands-on exercise, assignments and assessments.

We will look at the basics of object oriented approach of design and implementation in Python with suitable examples, Then we will look at working with objects that are part of a system using a case study based on real-time implementation. Creation of custom objects and intergration into a data system followed by inheritance to specialize functionality using polymorphism will also be implemented.

There will be additional topics covering Iterators, Generators, Decorators, Mixins and Meta classes.
