Keep a note of his interests. Create a schedule for him according to his needs. Modify it accordingly and use creative methods to teach. Use fancy objects, for example, a pencil having cartoon characters. Or, if you want to teach him alphabets, let him make use of paint and his fingers to make alphabets. Every time the student makes an effort, say words of appreciation and make him/her feel like he is the star of the show. Reward him once in a while so that he values the gifts he receives. If we try to reward them every day, there are chances of them getting used to it and taking it lightly. Hence using creative methods as mentioned above will help the student. Also, show 3D models while teaching. While teaching him fruits and vegetables, you can keep them in front of the child and feel them recall red apple, green grapes, etc.
