"I am learning Western classical school of violin from Mr Mario since this April. He follows the traditional approach of teaching and he focuses on perfecting the fundamentals at the beginning like the posture and fingering methods. So far, among several things, he has taught me an approach of not raising the fingers, an information I found not easy to learn on my own through other resources like the Internet. We did discuss once about the Suzuki method, and he may adapt that for you if you insist. A student of Philomena Thambuchetty in the past, Mr Mario is a maestro with respect to playing the instrument. If you are looking for a long term profound teacher to practice violin, he is the very best in the city. "

"I not at all recommend Mario Dsouza to anyone. I joined his classes in Jan'15. After 2 classes he became extremely irregular. He used to switch off his mobile phone at the time of classes and we had to keep waiting for him. He hardly took 2-3 classes out of 8 in a month. He also took extra money from me in the name of repairing my violin. He not at all replaced the defected part but just replaced the same old part tweeking it a bit. And lastly he stopped coming after 2 months. I paid him 3 months advanced and when I demanded the refund he flatly refused and stopped answering my calls. Horrible experience! "

"Mario is a really good teacher. He's patient with beginners, and very dedicated in teaching, makes sure he gives quality time while teaching and most importantly makes you believe that you can be a good violinist! I would recommend Mario to anyone to wants to learn western classical violin! "

"I learned a little from Mario a couple of years ago when he taught at an institute and then I discontinued. When I found out the Mario had started teaching independently, I signed up right away. Mario has an exquisite style of teaching. He teaches the students the very basics of music and moves one step at a time. Mario's students progress well, quickly and with proficiency. Mario calls his students Mario Violin family. His classes are both fun and work. I would recommend the him to anyone who wants to master the instrument. "

"It's been a while since I started to learn violin from Mario. Well, I am still a novice but I am pretty confident on Mario's teaching-skill. The striking ability to be patient and working on the foundations are the two key things I appreciate about him. He really pays attention on every single minute details, starting from the proper posture to the quality of tune. I was able to play a few simple notes with ease and confidence just after first four classes. And the credit simply goes to the teacher. From the personal experience, I strongly believe that he is a great choice as a western classical violin instructor for any beginner, including those without any prior formal knowledge about music at all. "I have been learning the violin from Mario for a year now. I did not even know how to hold the violin when I started off, can now play quite a variety of simple pieces. Mario is a wonderful tutor - extremely patient and he makes sure you master every single step before moving onto the next one. He concentrates a lot on the correct technique and in producing accurate pitch and pleasant tone. He is very encouraging and never lets you feel daunted when you have to raise your level of playing, he guides you step by step.
