Mahi

I'm currently pursuing my B.A. LL.B (Hons.) at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, and I teach Mathematics, English, and Social Sciences to students from Kindergarten through Class 10.

While I don't have formal classroom teaching experience, I've spent years informally tutoring — helping classmates work through difficult concepts before exams, and supporting younger cousins and family friends with their schoolwork across subjects, from primary school through Class 10. My subject expertise is backed by strong academic results, including 100/100 in ICSE Class 10 Mathematics and 94/100 in CBSE Class 12 Mathematics, giving me a solid command of core concepts across grade levels.

My teaching approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorization. For Mathematics, I walk students through the logic behind a method before moving to practice problems, so they can confidently solve unfamiliar questions instead of relying on memorized patterns. For English, I focus on how language actually works- grammar as a tool for clear expression, and reading comprehension as real understanding rather than answer-spotting. For Social Sciences, I connect concepts to things students already know or find interesting, so information sticks rather than being crammed for an exam.

I adapt my style based on the student's age and comfort level: younger students get simple, visual, step-by-step explanations, while older students (Class 9–10) get more structured, exam-focused sessions that still prioritize real understanding over shortcuts.

Alongside tutoring, I work on policy research and writing, which has sharpened my ability to break down complex ideas clearly- a skill I bring directly into how I teach.
