My Teaching Philosophy
One day my friends came to me with their doubts in mathematics. I helped
them that day and after that whenever they needed help to solve
mathematics problems they came to me. To my surprise, they seemed to
understand the concepts easily from me and I became a regular tutor for
them. It was then that I realised my flair and passion for teaching
mathematics and decided to make it my profession.
From my experience so far, I have come to realize that being a teacher is
a role that comes with great responsibility. Teachers not only serve as a
medium for knowledge transfer but also serve as a guide for students to
think critically and creatively. More often it is not the solution that helps the
students in this regard, but the thought process leading to the solution that
makes them critical thinkers.
I have also realized that what I know is a drop and what I donâ??t know is an
ocean. Hence a teacher should never stop learning. Teaching for me has
always been a rewarding experience as it allows me to share ideas with
younger minds and play a small but active role in shaping their future. This
is one of the major steps for me in leading a life of significance.
