His academic journey includes training at esteemed institutions such as Bangalore University, the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, the Indian Institute of Science, Yale University, Wesleyan University, and Wageningen University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Reddy has led numerous research projects funded by prominent agencies, including the UGC and DST. He holds two patents and has been recognized as a Ph.D. advisor by five universities. His notable contributions include the study of the cancer-related protein Magee-1, which he deposited in the Protein Data Bank (PDB ID: 2H5T).
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Reddy has published over 106 research papers, 4 patents, and 12 books. He has organized more than 100 national and international academic events, including seminars, workshops, and conferences. His scientific contributions have earned him several accolades, including the “Eminent Scientist Award” from the National Environmental Science Academy in 2015. Successfully guided several Ph. D’s, M.Phil’s, M.Sc’s, Term Papers, Interns, and Entrepreneurs.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Reddy is an active science communicator. He runs an educational YouTube channel, Dr. Jayarama Reddy, featuring over 1000 videos, and offers online courses on specialized topics such as Narcotic Plants, Bioinformatics, and Plant-Based Drugs.
