I am an AI educator. I work with people who want to understand what artificial intelligence actually is, how it works, and where it fits into the work they already do.
Most people I teach come in either overwhelmed by the hype or skeptical of it. Both reactions are reasonable. My job is to cut through both and get to what is actually useful for them specifically.
I have been running sessions for a few years, online and in person, across HR, marketing, operations, and education. I do not come from a purely technical background, and that turns out to be useful. I know how to explain AI without making people feel like they need a computer science degree to follow along.
In sessions, I focus on the practical side: what tools exist, what they are actually good at, where they fall short, and how to plug them into processes that already work. I walk people through tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot with real examples from their own work, not generic demos.
The most common thing I hear afterward is "I finally understand what this is." That is usually the goal.
