Teaching Accounts at the school level has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my professional journey. From the very beginning, I’ve believed that Accounts is not just a subject—it’s a life skill. My aim has always been to make students understand the “why” behind every concept, not just the “how.” Over the years, I’ve taught students from Class 11th and 12th, helping them build a strong foundation in topics such as Journal Entries, Ledger, Trial Balance, Final Accounts, Share Capital, and Cash Flow Statements. I ensure that each topic is taught through real-life examples, case studies, and practical problems so that students can relate classroom learning to real-world business scenarios. I also focus on concept clarity over rote learning. Many students initially feel Accounts is tough or confusing, but with the right approach—step-by-step explanations, regular practice, and doubt-clearing sessions—they gain confidence and often start enjoying the subject. What I value most is seeing the transformation in students—from being unsure about debit and credit to independently solving full-fledged company accounts. I also encourage regular tests, worksheets, and mock exams to prepare them thoroughly for board exams. Apart from academic instruction, I guide students on how Accounts connects with future careers in commerce, finance, business management, and entrepreneurship. Being an Accounts teacher has not just been about teaching a syllabus—it’s about shaping disciplined, analytical, and responsible minds. That’s the true reward of my teaching journey.
