xy = 0; only if x = 0; or y = 0 or both x & y = 0 x = 0 & y =0 are lines that intersect at right angles ( at both x & y = 0)

if x.y=0 then it means x=0 or y=0 ,because multiplication of any number with 0 is always 0.

Question seems incomplete or data insufficient.T o solve equation for two variable, needs two equations. Else this will give number of solution. In this case it is showing X axis and Y axis in X-Y Graph.
