Is there 3D creation capability in AutoCAD? If yes, what version is it in? I have used only the 2D version of AutoCAD.

3D is in all version. Although am not sure about versions relased before 2006. Now 3d is much better compared to earlier version. You can just do anything...Sweep, Blend, Swept Bend.Surface Modeling, Mesh Modeling, Nurbs Modeling, you name any operation, you would find command for that. If some thing...

If some thing is not there, then you can do it indirectly by using some different way. The only thing missing from AutoCAD 3d is the product tree just like you have in Catia or any other 3d software. read less
