The Arts and Crafts movement emerged from the attempt to reform design and decoration in mid-19th century Britain. It was a reaction against a perceived decline in standards that the reformers associated with machinery and factory production.

The outbreak of world war I generally ended America's love affair with the arts and crafts movement. American's turned away from trivial concern like furniture and gardens and focused on serious business of waging war.

Hi, This is Roopa here. I have recently started my own Art and Craft hobby classes for children and adults. But I want to excel in one or two categories of craft. I have knowledge on doll making, mural making. These are the few I have chosen. Are there any other, which I learn quickly and start teaching. I want to make it a profession.
You can learn terracotta jewellery, candles making, and candle holder from old newspapers. You can learn oil painting and tanjore painting also.
