Anoop V

I am a drummer and percussionist with 12 years of experience in playing, performing, and teaching music. I teach Drums, Snare Drum, and Jazz Drum to students on UrbanPro, and over the years I have worked with learners at different levels. My aim is to help students develop their musical abilities while building a strong foundation in rhythm, technique, coordination, and performance.

I have completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and am also a graduate in Music from a music school. I have received formal training in music with a focus on the areas that I teach. My academic and musical training, combined with years of practical experience, has helped me develop a well-rounded understanding of percussion and drumming.

My experience goes beyond classroom teaching. I have performed in more than 200 live shows as a drummer and percussionist, giving me extensive exposure to different musical settings and performance environments. These experiences have helped me develop strong stage presence, confidence, timing, coordination, and the ability to adapt to different musical situations.

I enjoy teaching students through practical musical experience and sharing the skills I have developed throughout my journey as a performer. I work with students on developing rhythm, timing, coordination, control, and overall musicality. I also focus on helping students become comfortable with their instrument and gradually develop the confidence required to play independently.

I offer both private lessons and group classes, depending on the student's learning requirements. I believe individual attention can be particularly useful for students who want to work on specific techniques or improve their playing, while group sessions can provide opportunities to learn through interaction and musical collaboration.

My 12 years of experience in music have taught me that consistent practice and a strong understanding of fundamentals are essential for becoming a better musician. I encourage students to practise regularly and develop their skills step by step rather than trying to master everything at once. My focus is on helping students make steady progress while enjoying the process of learning music.

My goal is to share my practical knowledge and experience with students who are interested in drums and percussion. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or wants to improve their existing skills, I aim to provide guidance that helps them develop better technique, rhythm, confidence, and musical expression.
