Supriya Biswas, a kathak Dance performer of Alipurduar. She started her dance learning at the age of five under the guidance of Chayanika Halder. Then she started to learn Kathak Dance by Smt. Debjaya Sarkar at Rudraksh Performing Art Centre. She took periodic lesson from Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, Bidushi Saswati Sen Ji, Madhumita Roy, Bidushi Mamta Maharaj Ji…
She has completed her 6th year exam from Pracheen Kala Kendra,Chandigarh
Her highest achievement : She got 3rd position in Kolkata Dance at district level in Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad.
Her most prestigious stage performance : In ‘Kalakshetra Auditorium opening’ visage organizes by Govt. Of A.P. on 20th January 2018.
InTirupati organised by Tirupati Tirumala Devasthan (TTD),Andhra Pradesh on 4th September 2024 .
She plays a role of Kathak Dance Instructor at Kalkut Forest Village under “Prajna” project and at Rudraksh Performing Arts Centre under “Ananter Sabdhane” since last two years.
The Kathak dance lovers can find purity and variety in her dance. Her dance is enriched our culture and uplift the heritage of our classical dance. With earnest blessings with her Guru, she is being engraved as a technically sound dancer.
