My academic journey hasn’t followed the conventional script. In school, I didn’t always score well, and more often than not, I was misunderstood. I wasn’t the top ranker or the teacher’s favorite . I was the student who questioned things that others accepted, who couldn’t bring myself to memorize without meaning, and who often found myself out of place in systems that valued marks over thinking. But those early experiences taught me resilience, and a quiet confidence in the way I think. I may not have been rewarded for it then, but I never lost the hunger to learn, to understand deeply, and to pursue things on my own terms. In college, that hunger took shape. Studying law at Nirma University gave me the structure I needed, but I never limited myself to just the curriculum. I carved my path through independent research, publishing papers on complex and underexplored topics ranging from international investment law to tax arbitrage and regulatory loopholes. I built a PG business from scratch, managed it alongside internships, and drafted legal agreements not just as assignments, but as real instruments of protection and strategy. Where I was once overlooked, I became intentional. I stopped waiting for permission or applause. I chose depth over appearances, originality over routine. My college years have been about bridging the gap between law in books and law in action. Whether through moots, internships, or late-night research rabbit holes, I’ve trained myself to think like a lawyer who isn’t just technically sound, but strategically alive to the world. I started off misunderstood. I’ll finish known for what I create.
